A TourDash alternative for operators whose guides live on WhatsApp
Updated 5 November 2026 by Ravid Efroni, founder of GuidePing, which sends guide offers on WhatsApp. Read the tool comparisons with that in mind.
Short answer
What TourDash does
From TourDash's own pages, read on 31 October 2026:
- Booking management that imports bookings from 30+ platforms by forwarded email, naming Civitatis, Viator, GetYourGuide, GuruWalk, FreeTour.com, FareHarbor, Turitop and Oneport (booking management).
- Guide scheduling "without chasing people on WhatsApp": guides enter availability, the manager assigns, and a decline shows available replacements (guide scheduling).
- Confirmations in the app: "If a guide hasn't confirmed within the window, the manager sees it immediately" (guide confirmations).
- Guide accounts are created by the operator and used on the web or a mobile app (for guides).
- WhatsApp reminders go to travellers, as an add-on (WhatsApp reminders).
For a free walking tour company that wants bookings, check-in and guides in one place, and whose guides will use an app, that is a lot in one tool.
The TourDash app
The guide app is called HappyGuide and is published by Tourdash on Google Play, last updated 14 October 2026 (Google Play). It is for guides whose company already uses TourDash: "If your tour manager has added you to their team, sign in with the same email you use on tourdash.app. There is no separate sign-up." The listing describes four parts:
- Your tours: the tours a guide leads, day by day, with who is coming, how many and in which language.
- Your guests: check travellers in as they arrive; the headcount updates and the manager sees the same numbers.
- Your reports: every tour checked in, with the guests counted, for the end of the month.
- Your Top Tips: a personal page of restaurants and viewpoints that travellers open by scanning the guide's QR code.
- Android: available on Google Play, free to install (listing).
- iPhone: not in the App Store when we searched on 5 November 2026. TourDash's Happy Guide site says "The Guide App is out on Android" and that iOS comes once the App Store approves it (myhappy.guide).
- Web: TourDash says it "works on web and mobile"; guides also submit availability there (for guides). TourDash's changelog lists "Mobile app install available" on 5 February 2026 (What's new).
- Price: the app is included in every TourDash plan, with no separate charge per guide; plans limit the number of users (pricing).
For operators, TourDash says schedule changes reach the guide's view "instantly" (for guides). The Google Play listing does not describe accepting or declining an offered tour inside the app; TourDash's confirmations page describes that step (guide confirmations).
Where GuidePing is different
- Guides are reached on WhatsApp, one tour per message. They install nothing and answer in their own words, in any language.
- When a guide says no or does not answer in the time you set, the next guide in your order is asked automatically, or several at once with first yes wins.
- A reply with a condition or a question is never booked; it goes to you.
- A time change from the booking email asks the guide to confirm the new time; a cancellation releases them.
- At 18:00 you get one message: every tour tomorrow is covered, or which one still needs you.
- One flat price, €99 a month, WhatsApp messages included, after a 30-day pilot without a card.

Who should stay on TourDash
Stay on TourDash if you run free walking tours, want traveller check-in and reminders in the same tool, and your guides already use its app. GuidePing does not replace those parts.
Look at GuidePing if your guides are freelancers who also work for other operators and will not install another app, if most of the work is chasing answers, or if you want one price that does not grow with bookings. See tour guide scheduling on WhatsApp and scheduling freelance guides without an app.
Trying it alongside
Because GuidePing only needs a copy of your booking emails, you can run it next to your current setup during the pilot: add the forwarding rule, add your guides and tours, and compare a week of confirmations. Nothing in your booking platforms changes. The demo below shows a week of tours with made-up guides.

Is there a TourDash app for guides?
Yes, on Android: HappyGuide by Tourdash on Google Play, for guides whose company uses TourDash. Guides sign in with the email their operator added. On 5 November 2026 there was no iPhone app in the App Store; TourDash's Happy Guide site said iOS would follow once Apple approves it. TourDash also works in a web browser.

TourDash prices by bookings per month: a Starter plan at €1 for 100 bookings, and Core, Pro and Platform plans at €53.10, €59 and €64.90 for 1,000 bookings, with WhatsApp automation at 20% extra. GuidePing is €99 a month flat after a 30-day pilot, WhatsApp included.
